Theresa Ricciardi Aiello

Services & Mass have been postponed to Saturday 10:00 am at Our Lady of Loreto On March 4, 2013, at the age of 87 my beloved Mother, Theresa (Ricciardi) Aiello, joined her loving husband Frank Aiello who predeceased her in 1986. Theresa of Webster N.Y and Worcester, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 24, 1925 to the late Luigi and Teresina (Gagliardi) Ricciardi and lived most of her life in Worcester before moving to New York to live with her daughter. She is survived by her children; daughters; Mary Beth Friel and her husband David, and her grandchildren Francesca and Erica. Sheila Gerardi and Joe, Sharon Gerardi -Smick and her husband Art, Robin Cano and her husband Stephen, Karen Gerardi, Kim Gerardi, Ronnie, Mark, and Kevin Gerardi. She was Nonnie to Jay, Kam, Savanah, Tristan, Evan, Trenton, Ariadne, Kara, Angelina, Lianna, Jacob, Marissa, and Jack. She also leaves several nephews and nieces,among them a close nephew, Louis Ricciardi, and her long time and dear friend Maria Fernandez-Wallen and her husband Bob. Theresa was predeceased by her sister Lena Gerardi, and four brothers, Michael, Frank, John, and Robert Ricciardi. Theresa was a graduate of Worcester's David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School and started her career as a Hairdresser at Denholm & McKay Department Store in downtown Worcester, where she worked for many years before going to work for Maria's Beauty Salon, She and Maria worked together for almost 30 years before she retired. She was a member of the Church Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann and also Our Lady of Loreto. She was a life time member of San Vitaliano Women's Society. Theresa's family would like to thank the entire staff of Bay Creek Medical Group, especially Dr. Michael Myers, for their exceptional loving care. Theresa's funeral will be held Friday March 8, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 37 Massasoit Rd. Visiting hours with the family will be held from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday. Interment with her husband will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
