Michael T. Ferraro, 51, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 25, 2013 with his family by his side after a long period of declining health. Michael was born, August 4, 1961 in Worcester. He grew up and educated in the Shrewsbury Public Schools before moving to Worcester. Mike leaves behind his children who meant the world to him; his son Anthony M. Ferraro of Worcester and step daughter, Trisstina Wyrick of Oxford. He also leaves, his parents, Anthony and Margaret (Porcaro) Ferraro of Worcester; a sister, Deborah Westberg of Millbury; a brother, Anthony Ferraro Jr and his wife Patricia of Boylston; his longtime companion, Tamara Wyrick of Oxford; a niece, Nicole Foran and her husband James of Grafton; a nephew, Keith Westberg and his wife Marilyn of Auburn; great nieces; a great nephew; his beloved four legged friends, Smokey and Kitty; extended family and friends. Michael worked in the Building Services Department of WPI for the last 6 years. He previously worked as a bartender for Cicero's bar where he was known as "Little Mike", Peterson Springs Company in Northboro and the David Clark Company in Worcester. Mike was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Throughout the years of illnesses, Mike was always positive, pleasant and upbeat. The times that made him the happiest were those spent with his children and would give everything he had to see them happy. Mike also was enthusiastic about antique cars. He enjoyed car shows and especially the Summer Nationals in Worcester. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday, February28, 2013 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Friday, March 1, at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
