Rosalie B. Elson, age 37, of Worcester, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 8, 2013. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Amanda and Ariel Elson, both of Worcester; her parents, Rupert and Viola Elson of Worcester; two sisters, Petra Kay Thomas of Georgia and Veronica Elson of Worcester; her brother, Natanael Perez of Worcester; nieces, family and friends. She was born on September 6, 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica. She graduated from Burncoat High School and went on to study at Becker College before transferring to Atlantic Union College where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN at UMass-Memorial Healthcare, Saint Vincent Hospital and Baypath Regional Vocational High School. Rosalie had many interests which include going the gym and singing; but her greatest passion was caring for her children and her patients. She was a unique and beautiful person inside and out. She was a very patient, kind, loving and compassionate person. We her family, firmly believe that The Lord giveth Life and He chose Rosalie at this time, Blessed be the name of The Lord. Family, friends, and others whose lives Rosalie touched are invited to the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 to reminisce, grieve and support each other. Rosalie's funeral will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois Street, Worcester. Please go directly to church.
