Josephine "Jody" DiLeo, 63, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 with her family by her side. Jody was born in Worcester a daughter of Samuel G. and Rose M. (DiPinto) DiLeo. She grew up in Shrewsbury, graduated from Shrewsbury High School, and earned her degree in business from the Boston University School of Business Administration. Jody began her career in venture capital and investment banking at the former Tucker-Anthony Investment Company in Boston. Several years later Jody relocated to the Worcester area and took a position as Manager of Garcia Travel in Worcester before retiring. Jody is survived by the family she loved so much; her mother, Rose M. (DiPinto) DiLeo of Worcester; her brothers, Andrew G. DiLeo and his wife Heidi of Phoenix AZ, Francis E. "Frank" DiLeo and his wife Diane of Oxford; her sister and best friend, Lucille A. DiLeo and her husband, John A. Burdick, Jr. of Paxton; a niece Maria R. DiLeo and a nephew Andrew F. DiLeo and his wife Jessica; special friends, Howard Hawkesworth of Worcester, Stephanie Sullivan of Northboro, and Arlene Marengo of Holden, and extended family. Jody's father predeceased her in 2002. Jody was a vibrant woman who cherished her family and friends, enjoyed classical music, fine chocolates, oriental lilies and orchids, flower gardening and travel. Her travels took her to many countries in Europe, the Orient, and South America. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the compassionate and excellent care Jody received from the nurses at the St. Vincent's Hospital dialysis unit. Funeral services will be held Monday February 11th at 12:00 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
