Joanne (DiPietro) Librandi, 84 quietly passed away Saturday evening, February 2, 2013 in the home of her son and daughter in law, Vincent A. Jr. and Marianne of Paxton where she had been residing since September of 2012 along with her two grandsons Dominic and Benjamin. She also leaves a son, Gary J. and his wife Nancy of Rutland, and their two daughters, Jillian and Olivia; a brother Joseph J. Dipietro and his wife Mary of Leicester; a sister Alice D'Agostino of Worcester; nieces and nephews. She was the loving wife of over 58 years of Deacon Vincent A. Librandi Sr. until his passing in January of 2007. Joanne was born in Worcester, the daughter of Carmen and Louise (Coviello) DiPietro. She was a graduate of Commerce High School an employee of Worcester Five Cents Savings Bank and has lived her entire life in Worcester. She was a active founding member of Our Lady of Loreto Parish, attending Mass daily, as well as laundering the alter linens for both Our Lady of Loreto and Our Lady of Mount Carmel parishes for many years. She was a kind and gracious women whose life reflected her strong faith. She dedicated her life to caring for her parents, husband and family. She cherished her friendships. Despite her recent illness, she maintained a positive attitude and truly enjoyed the time she spent interacting with her grandsons on a daily basis. The family would like to thank everyone who cared for and loved Joanne throughout her life, especially during her brief illness. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Joanne's homecare nurse, Dennis Paquette, for his kindness, compassion, and outstanding care. Joanne's funeral will be held Wednesday, February 6th , from The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in the church she loved, Our Lady of Loreto, 37 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 5th from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers Joanne requested that donations be made in her name to the Saint John's Food Pantry, 33 Temple Street, Worcester, MA.
