George Cappoli, 86, of Millbury, formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully Thursday January 31st 2013 in his home surrounded by his devoted family. George's wife Marie F. (Reilly) Cappoli passed away in June of 2005. He is survived by the family that loved him so much and who he loved, Ellen M. Smith of Millbury, ReRe Cappoli with whom he lived, George Cappoli and his wife Mary of Oxford, Thomas Cappoli of Worcester and Anthony Cappoli of New York City; a brother, Cesidio Cappoli of Worcester; a sister, Antoinette Carnevale of Auburn; six grandchildren he adored, Keith, Eric, Zachary, Jonathan, Olivia, and Jennifer; five great grandchildren, Domenic, Gianna, Samantha, Alexandra and Cassie; Many nieces, nephews, and extended family. His wife Marie, a son, Domenic Cappoli, and a brother Salvatore Cappoli all pre deceased him. George was born in Worcester a son of Italian Immigrants Domenic and Maria (Santoro) Cappoli. He grew up and attended Worcester Public Schools, served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Swinning and U.S.S. President Polk. George was a painter and wallpaper worker for the International Brotherhood of painters and allied trades local 48 his entire carrer before retiring. He enjoyed fishing on the lakes of Cape Cod with his brother Sal, woodchip carving handmade items for his family members, and spending time with his family. Funeral services and entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum are private. There are no calling hours. Memorial remembrances can be made in his name to the Vet's Inc., 69 Grove Street Worcester.
