Judith E. Foley, 69, of Worcester and Falmouth, a long time Worcester Teacher , died peacefully Saturday January 12, 2013,in the Beaumont of Worcester after a brief illness. Judith is survived by a brother, Brian A. Foley and his wife Elaine of Worcester, her long time companion William Ballam, her four nephews, William, Brian, Christopher, and Michael, and a dear cousin Sandra Lee of N.Y. many great nephews and great nieces, and life- long friends. Judy was born in Worcester daughter of the late William J. and Helen (Ahearn) Foley and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of St. Stephen High School, and received her Bachelor and Masters Degree in Education from Worcester State College. Judy taught Mathematics at Forest Grove Junior High School for over 40 years before she retired. Judith was a life time member of the Church of St. Stephen. And was also a member of the Massachusetts and Worcester Teachers Associations. Judith enjoyed being around her family and friends, she loved being at the Cape especially in Falmouth. She was a true Irishmen and proud of her heritage. She will be dearly missed. Judith's funeral will be held Tuesday January 15, 2013 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of St. Stephen 357 Grafton St.a calling hour will be held from 9:30AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home prior to leaving for Church. Interment will be with her parents in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the renovation fund at St. Stephen's Church at the above address.
