Constantine G. "Connie" Dorman, 97, of Worcester died peacefully January 10, 2013 in the St Francis Home. He is survived by many nieces, and nephews, including Geraldine Langille of Harwich, and many great nephews and great nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, and three sisters."Connie" was born in Worcester son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Bendoris) Dorman and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School. "Connie" served as a Sgt. in the 508th Fighter Squadron for the Army Air Force and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.He received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon, a Distinguished Unit Badge, and the Belgian Fourragere Decision #77. Constantine was a member of the former St. Margaret Mary Church, and is presently a member of St. Anne's Church in Shrewsbury. Among his many memberships "Connie" was a member of the Worcester Boy's Club Alumni, the East Side Post #201 American Legion, and the Greeendale Retired Men's Club. In his younger years he won several events in Sculling,and represented several Rowing teams. He enjoyed watching all his New England Sports teams and enjoyed being with his family. He will be truly missed. Constantine's funeral will be held Thursday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of St. Anne , 130 Boston Turnpike Shrewsbury.Calling hours in the funeral home are from 4PM to 6PM on Wednesday. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Members of the East Side Post#201 will meet at 6PM for their ritual.
