Marianna Dellomo

Marianna (Martone) Dellomo, age 88, passed away peacefully January 4, 2013 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center at Worcester surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Carmen C. Dellomo died April 25, 1996. Marianna is survived by her loving family; a son, Anthony "Tony" Dellomo and his wife Christine of Worcester; two daughters, Mary Rose D'Andrea and her husband Nicholas of Worcester and Concetta "Connie" Amoroso and her husband Salvatore of Worcester; three sisters, Allesandrina Amoroso of Holden, Antonia Ventriglia of Worcester and Addolorata Smarra of Worcester; six grandchildren, Antoinette Poirier (wife of John Poirier, Jr.) of Upton, Ann-Marie Craig (wife of Richard Craig) of Millbury, Anthony Amoroso (and his wife Amy Amoroso) of Hyannis, Anthony Dellomo of Worcester, Angela Amoroso of Worcester and Matthew Dellomo of Worcester; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marianna was born in Capodrise, Province of Caserta Italy, one of four daughters of Salvatore and Concetta (Grilla) Martone on September 14, 1924. She has lived in Worcester since 1950. Prior to her retirement Marianna was a seamstress for several dress shops in the Worcester area for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Solomon Hospice for all their kindness and compassion as well as their emotional and spiritual support to Marianna and her family during her stay there. Family, friends, and others whose lives Marianna touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel - Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Entombment will be alongside her husband in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester.
