Phyllis M. (Bucciaglia) Capuano, 80, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, January 4th 2013 with her beloved family gathered beside her. Phyllis was born in Worcester one of two daughters born to Anthony and Mary (DeMatteo) Bucciaglia. She grew up in the Frank St area of Worcester, met and married the love of her life for the next 39 years, Girolomo J. "Cappy" Capuano, Jr. until 1992 when he passed away. Together they settled on Frank Street to raise their family. Phyllis is survived by the family she loved so much, her devoted son, Paul F. Capuano of Worcester; The sister she so much enjoyed being with Patricia Richards and her husband Eugene of Rutland; two grandchildren, Anthony and Sara; Many other extended family and friends. Phyllis was employed as a Billing Clerk for the University of Massachusetts Medical Center before retiring. She was a member Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and a former member St. Margaret Mary Church. Phyllis enjoyed Bingo, her trips to the casino, the times she got to spend with her family and at the beach in the summer. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, January 6th from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday January 7th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Danny Thomas Way, Memphis Tenn.
