Dolores D'Acri

Dolores A. (Potenti) D'Acri, 81, of Worcester died peacefully on Friday December 21, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Edward D'Acri predeceased her in 1984. Dolores is survived by her devoted family; three daughters, Debra Bonneau and her husband Gary, Sandra Hinson and her husband Wiiliam with whom she lived, Gina Mitchell and her husband Joseph all of Worcester, three sons; Edward D'Acri and his wife Dianna of Florida, Paul D'Acri and his wife Donna of Auburn, and Michael D'Acri and his wife Kim of Charlton. Dolores is also survived by eighteen loving grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and her brother Freddie Potenti of Worcester, also many nephews and nieces. Dolores was born in Worcester daughter of the late Mariano and Bomina (Arcure) Potenti and lived here all her life. She was one of fifteen children and was predeceased by seven brothers; Giovanni, Domenic, Paul, Phil, Raymond, Robert and John Potenti, and was also predeceased by six sisters; Anne DiSalvio, Louise Potenti, Theresa Arcure, Julia Michaud, Lena Kazmierczak, and Lucy Sjosten. "Dodo" worked at the Worcester State Hospital for many years in the housekeeping department before she retired. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church. She loved her summer home in Maine and really enjoyed being there with her family. She loved to cook her large Italian Sunday meals and play cards. But her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Dolores' funeral will be held Monday December 24, 2012 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday (today) from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. Interment will be alongside her husband in St. Johns Cemetery.
