Denise (Umphrey) Duddie, 42, of West Boylston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 19th 2012 after a struggle with cancer. Denise was born in West Boylston; her father was the late Neil Umphrey. She graduated from Holy Name High School and earned her associates degree from Quinsigamond Community College. She lived in Worcester until moving to Millbury over 10 years ago. Denise began her working life as a Medical Assistant for the Salisbury Associates before taking a position in billing and coding for the Umass Memorial Healthcare at the University campus two years ago. Denise is survived by the family she loves so much, her three daughters, Britaney L. and Alexia A. Duddie of Millbury, Samantha J. Duddie of Worcester; her mother, Ann E. (Iafrato) Umphrey of Millbury, her husband Todd Duddie; a brother; a sister; three granddaughters, Myleigh , Mya and Olivia N.; Aunts, Uncles, extended family and friends. Denise was a member of St Brigid's Church. A full of life women who loved to laugh and could light up a room with her smile. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and children who she believed were her life. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, December 23rd from 2 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. Her funeral will be celebrated Monday December 24th from the funeral home with a Mass at 9:30 am in St Brigids Church, 59 Main St Millbury. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the Alexia Duddie educational fund, care of Millbury Credit Union, 50 Main St Millbury.
