June M Fontaine

June M. (LaBuff) Fontaine, 90 a longtime resident of West Boylston passed away Tuesday December 18th 2012 after a period of declining health. June was born in Worcester, one of five children born to Francis and Katherine (Parameter) LaBuff. She was educated in the Worcester Public Schools, met the love of her life and partner for the next 71 years Robert J. Fontaine, Sr. Together they lived in Worcester married for 10 years before moving to West Boylston 71 years ago to raise their family. June is survived by her husband Robert J. Fontaine Sr.; her two children, Robert J. Fontaine Jr and his wife Edna of Whitinsville, and Judith M. Doherty with whom they live. Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Four siblings pre deceased her, including her dear sister and best friend Barbara Potenti, whom she loved very much. June was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Church and the West Boylston VFW 6907 Ladies Auxiliary. In June's life, most important to her was the love and devotion she could give to her family. She found her greatest joy with and around them. Holidays were special when she could have her large family with her. She loved to sing and go shopping and lived life to the fullest and will be remembered by all her family and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for calling hours, Thursday, December 20th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Friday December 21st from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Good Council Church, 111 Worcester St. where her Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
