Louise M Paciello

Louise M. (Dacri) Paciello, 89, of Worcester passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 18th 2012 in her home with her devoted family by her side. Louise was born in Worcester, one of four children born to Italian immigrants Giuseppe and Julia (Algieri) Dacri. Her family settled in the Grafton Hill section of Worcester. She graduated from Commerce High School and met and married the love of her life for the next 59 years Michael A. Paciello. Family being very important to Louise, she remained on Grafton Hill in the same neighborhood of family and friends. Louise's husband and cherished partner of 59 years, Michael A. Paciello passed away in 2006. She is survived by the family she loved so much; her son, Michael J. Paciello and his wife Susan of Holden, her daughters, Juliann Creen, Mary-Beth Soucy and her husband David all of Worcester; her seven grandchildren, Matthew Taylor, Lori Paciello, Lisa Corazzini and her husband Robert, Elizabeth and Emily Creen, Elaina McDonnell and her husband David, and Erica Soucy; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Michael and Livia-Louise; her two sisters in law, Louise and Ruth Dacri: Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two brothers, Michael and Joseph Dacri and a sister, Nancy Agbay pre deceased her. Louise worked her many years as a clerk with the Massachusetts Department of Social Services before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, and a founding member of the Beato Angelo, di Acri Society. With her Italian heritage, Louise was a wife, mother and grandmother, relative and friend who loved to care for everyone. She made sure whoever set foot in her house was fed with especially delicious food she would prepare daily. Even if you were not hungry you were fed. Needless to say family was Louise's whole life and most cherished moments. Holidays were precious and special. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Thursday, December 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Louise's funeral will be celebrated Friday, December 21st from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in St. John's Church, 44 Temple Street. Burial next to her husband will follow in St John's Cemetery. The family would like to thank Olga, her Home Health Aide and especially her hospice nurse, Jill Cross, for her love and compassion throughout her final days. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances may be made to St. Peters Central Catholic Elementary School, 865 Main St Worcester 01610 or Holy Name CC Jr. /Sr. High School, 144 Granite St Worcester 01604.
