Anna R. (DiMonopoli) Casillo, 86, of North Grafton passed away Thursday December 6th 2012 in the home she loved so much with her cherished family gathered beside her. Anna was born in Worcester, daughter of Italian immigrants, Salvatore and Filomena (Revelli) DiMonopoli. She grew up in Worcester, met and married the love of her life, Michael A. Casillo. Together they raised their family in Worcester before moving to Grafton where she remained for the past 48 years. Anna's beloved husband Michael A. Casillo passed away in 1987. She is survived by the family she loved so much; her children, Philomena A. "Mimi" Pollier of Millbury, Michael L. Casillo and his wife Lisa of Minnesota, Jilda Casillo and her partner Donna Alsheimer of Worcester, Ann Falco and her husband Gregory of Thompson CT; her sister, best friend and soul mate, Rita Connor of North Grafton; four grandchildren, Todd and CaSaundra Casillo, Karina and Michael Falco; Many nieces, and nephews she adored, including Glenn, Ralph and Anthony Connor and Lisa Morgan. Her beloved canine companion, Sabrina; extended family and friends. Anna was predeceased by her sister Josephine Barry, brother Leo DiMonopoli, and grandson Gregory John Falco. Anna graduated from Commerce High School and began her working years at Table Talk Pies. Always interested in helping people she then worked as a Home Health Aide and Nurse Assistant at Crescent Manor Rest Home before retiring. Anna, a science fiction enthusiast, loved watching movies on the Syfy Channel. She also loved the outdoors, crossword puzzles, being out and about with her sister and daughters, puttering around her yard and making occasional trips to Foxwoods. Anna, an out-going personality, with Italian heritage, a winning smile, and contagious laugh, made her a joyful addition to all the family gatherings she so enjoyed. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for calling hours Monday, December 10th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Her funeral will follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St John's Cemetery.
