Nicholas J Betti

Nicholas J. Betti, 59 a lifelong Shrewsbury resident passed away Saturday November 24th 2012 after a period of declining health with his family gathered beside him. Nicholas was born January 27th 1953, in Worcester a son of Christine M. (Mattero) Betti and the late Alfred M. Betti Sr. He graduated from Shrewsbury Public Schools, entered college to study computer related courses. Upon earning his degree he became a computer programmer for various computer companies before retiring due to illness. Not blessed with marriage or children, Nick found his greatest enjoyment with the Shrewsbury Little League, as a coach and Board of Director for many years. Nicholas is survived by his devoted family; his mother, Christine M. (Mattero) Betti; his four siblings, Joseph A. Betti, Alfred "Fred" Betti and his wife Diane, Bridget A. Simoncini and her husband Joseph, Angela M Preble and her husband Richard; the many nieces and nephews he loved so much, extended family and friends. A celebration of Nick's life memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, November 30th at 10:00 am in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Burial next to his father will follow in Mt View Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
