Nishikant M. Samant

Nishikant Samant, age 74, of Shrewsbury MA, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Born in Mumbai, India, he graduated from Wilson College in Mumbai and received his MBA from Columbia University. He worked as a software engineer at Chase Manhattan Bank, NYC and later Tata Consultancy, living in Dubai, Malaysia and Mumbai. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alka, his son Ninad and wife Joanne of Shrewsbury, his daughter Anita Singhal and her husband Nikunj of NY, along with 4 grandchildren- Kyle, Andrew, Emma and Rishi. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father who was disciplined in all matters in his life. He enjoyed politics and the economy, and cherished spending time with family.
