Jeanette A. Henderson

Jeanette A. (Kalalas) Henderson, 78, a longtime resident of West Boylston, died peacefully Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in UMASS Medical Center. Her husband, Robert H. Henderson predeceased her. She was also predeceased by Marvin K. Sanborn of Shrewsbury. Jeanette is survived by her two sons, Robert P. Henderson of West Boylston and Adam S. Henderson and his wife Brenda of Worcester; her two daughters, Linda S. Hall and her husband Don of Worcester and Susen L. Falcone and her husband Sam of Oxford; a brother, John Kalalas of Wrentham; three sisters, Constance Lavallee of Sterling, Elizabeth McCauley of Holden and Barbara Tully of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Christopher Hall of Japan, Jennifer Mungai of Southbridge, Stephanie Rosenquist of Georgia, Stephen Rosenquist of Florida, Jillian Henderson of Pepperell, Robert S. Henderson, of Hudson, NH, Felicia, Adam, Jr., and Addison Henderson all of Worcester; five great grandchildren, Zachary Hall of West Point, Maxwel Gacucu of Southbridge, Toni Warburton of Southbridge, David Boyce of Georgia and Brooke Rosenquist of Florida. Along with many nieces and nephews, especially Laurie Tully of Worcester. She is predeceased by her brother William Kalalas. Jeanette was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Syrios) Kalalas and was born in Boston, MA on April 7, 1934. She was educated at Commerce High School in Worcester and the school of hard knocks. She worked for many years at UMass in the emergency dept. then continued there as a volunteer. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting and was a queen mom in the Red Hats. She was a member of the Worcester senior center. At one time she considered a career as a professional bowler and bowled with the Strikers in Auburn. She loved cooking and restaurant critiquing. Considered as matriarch of the family and will be missed by all. Before settling in West Boylston she lived many years as a Navy wife. Living in numerous places on the east coast from Argentia, Newfoundland to Jacksonville Florida. You are invited to attend visiting hours in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Planation Street, Worcester from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, November 12th. Her funeral will be celebrated at 10:00 am in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 13th. Jeanette will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
