Armand R. Daigneault, 81 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2012 in St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Armand is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Ann Marie (Berthiaume) Daigneault; three sons, Kevin M. Daigneault and his fiancé Heather Corliss of Worcester, Todd R. Daigneault of Webster and Brian J. Daigneault and his wife Paula Jane of Worcester; three brothers, Ralph Daigneault and his wife Connie of Florida, Paul Daigneault of Auburn and James King of Maine; a sister-in-law, Beverly Schold and her husband Kenneth of Millbury; a brother-in-law, Wallace Landry of Millbury; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Daigneault of Webster; five grandchildren, Julie Mitchell, Ashley Marie, Amber and Adam Daigneault, Samantha Griggs; two great grandchildren, Alexia and Nadia Daou; many nieces and nephews. Armand was born in Worcester, a son of the late Armand L. and Evelyn (Stockwell) Daigneault and attended Worcester Public Schools. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War receiving the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After his tour of duty, Armand worked as an assembler for General Motors for twenty-five years before his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart church; he enjoyed fishing, watching sports on T.V. especially golf and loved doing handy work. Armand's greatest enjoyment was taking his family to the beach, bowling and entertaining. Services for Armand will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, November 2nd from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass.
