Kathleen C. (Carberry) Hilow, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Saint Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, George M. Hilow; a daughter, Patricia Castagnetti and her husband Bernard of Worcester; four sons, Stephen Hilow and his wife Kim of Worcester; Michael Hilow and his wife Donna of Spencer, James Hilow and his wife Melissa of Southbridge and Edward Hilow and his partner Jim Mahoney of Worcester; two sisters, Frances Carberry of Worcester and Elizabeth Dadah of Holden; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Florence Carberry, Mary Doyle and Peggy DePatie. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Hall) Carberry and has lived in Worcester all her life. Kathleen was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, the church women's club and was a volunteer at the Harlow Street School. She was a loving woman who found great joy in her family. Calling hours for Kathleen will be held on Thursday, November 1, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, from the funeral home, departing in procession at 9:30 for a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 341June Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester.
