Kenneth A. Watrous, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012. His dear companion, Shirley Valois, predeceased him in January 2011. Kenneth is survived by a son, David G. Goblaskas of North Smithfield, RI; two grandchildren, Dana Hamlin of Woburn and Erik Zenker of Phoenixville, PA; two great grandchildren, Aaron and Anna; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his second wife, Gloria D. (Ball) Watrous in 1993 and by his first wife, Eileen (Olson) Watrous in 1958. He was also predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Marie Bicknell, Richard and Robert Watrous. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Allison and Alice (Sullivan) Watrous. He grew up in Worcester and graduated from Classical High School, he later moved to North Grafton, where he lived for nearly forty-five years, returning to Worcester in 2007. Kenneth served his nation proudly during World War II in the United States Army, and was stationed in England and France. He worked for the Worcester School Department for over 40 years as a custodian. He worked in the Chandler Street and Dartmouth Street Elementary Schools, and retired as Chief Custodian at Burncoat Senior High School. He was a member of The American Legion and enjoyed wood working, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing Cribbage. He will be interred, with Military Honors, on Thursday, November 1, at 10 a.m. in All Faith Cemetery, Worcester; followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester.
