Anthony Calocci, 84, of Westborough formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 21st with his family gathered beside him. Anthony was born in Worcester, one of ten children, of the late, Francesco and Maria (DiPietro) Calocci. He attended Worcester Trade School, joined the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict to serve his country. Returning to Worcester, Anthony lived in Worcester before moving to Westborough in 1970. Anthony is survived by his devoted sons, William Calocci and his wife Susan of Westborough, Michael A. Calocci of Webster, and Gary F. Calocci of Worcester; four grandchildren, Tammie Lynn, Christopher, Johnathon & Kevin; a great grandson Tristan J.; two brothers, William Calocci in Montreal Canada and Alexander "Alex" Calocci of Millbury; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Six sisters, Libyer "Libby" Stellato, Gorizia "Gordie" O'Brien, Minnie L. Wilbur, Corfina Ann "Coffee" Corner, Bessie Simone and Teresa M. Kitani and a brother, James V. Calocci all pre deceased him. Anthony worked many years, in his early years; he worked with his brothers in the family business Calocci Brothers Construction. He then worked as a Heavy equipment welder for Worcester Truck Company, Worcester Sand & Gravel and Goodall Equipment before beginning his own company A. Calocci Repair. He owned and operated this company before retiring. Anthony was a hardworking man who could fix anything. He devoted his life to his family and cherished the times he could be with them. Anthony loved his Dog, bowling, dancing and he enjoyed cutting wood. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Tuesday, October 23nd from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Funeral services for Anthony will follow on Wednesday October 24rd at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the Veterans Inc Shelter, 60 Grove St Worcester 01608.
