Ruth P Falcone

Ruth P. Falcone, 81, of Worcester died peacefully Friday October 5, 2012 in the Knollwood Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. Ruth is survived by her cousins; Eleanor Valery, Rusty, Chris, Storm and Olivia Valery, Vanessa, Arthur, and AJ Williamson, Brenda and Skip Bern, Barbara and Tony Martone, Kerriane, Gianna and Anthony Gabriella, Michael and Michelle Martone and Max, Macean, and Mazzy and the large extended cousins of the Falcone and Gabriella family's and her St. Vincent Hospital family. Ruth was predeceased by her dearest friends Agnes Surabian and Ernest Cola. Ruth was born in Worcester daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Gabriella) Falcone-Giaquinto and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Doherty High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College. Ruth was a Quality Assurance Manager in the Food Service Department at St. Vincent Hospital for 32 years before she retired. Ruth was a life member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and it s Ladies Guild. Ruth enjoyed traveling, the Red Sox, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed a good day at the Casino and later in life enjoyed water color painting. However the most precious times were those spent with her family, especially her Sunday dinners with her family, that was always the highlight of her week! She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Knollwood Nursing Center. Summit Elder Care and St. Vincent Hospital for their loving, and compassionate care shown to Ruth and her family it was truly appreciated. Ruthie's funeral will be held Wednesday October 10, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto. 37 Massasoit Rd. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4PM to7PM. Interment will be in St John's Cemetery.
