Margaret G. Giumentaro

Margaret "Grace" (Chaisson-Russell) Giumentaro of Shrewsbury passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family as they held her hand. Her first husband, Michael Russell died in 1962. She leaves her ever devoted husband of 48 years, Robert "Bob" Giumentaro; a granddaughter, Jessica; great granddaughter, Ashley; three sisters and one brother as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret also leaves her sister-in-law and very best friend, Norma (Giumentaro) Blanchard who will forever miss her. She is predeceased by her only child, Michael D. Russell who died January of 2011. Margaret was one of thirteen children born to Phillip and Jessie (MacPherson) Chaisson. She was born in Mexico, Maine and had been a resident of Shrewsbury for over 57 years. She was educated in the Mexico, Maine public schools. Grace worked for the sisters of Notre Dame in Worcester for 15 years, as a nurse's aide. She loved to play cribbage, bingo, enjoyed the casinos and mostly loved to cook and bake. She always got the greatest joy from her cat "Danny." Grace was always the life of all the family gatherings with her funny antics. She was so loved and will be greatly missed and forever live in our hearts. In according to Margaret wishes, she was cremated and a graveside service in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury will be at a later date.
