David W. Haddad, 50, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, September 25th 2012 in his home with the family he loved so much gathered beside him. A devoted son, brother and friend, David is survived by his beloved mother, Elizabeth "Betty" (Belsito) Haddad with whom he lived; his three brothers, Mitchell G. "Mickey" Haddad, Jr., of Webster, John F. and Robert P. Haddad both of Worcester; five nieces and nephews, Sadie E., Tess I., Sam M., John R., and Lauren E. Haddad; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other extended family and a many friends. David was pre deceased by his father, Mitchell G. Haddad, Sr.; his maternal and paternal grandparents, Angelo and Isabella (DiCicco) Belsito, George and Sadie (Skaff) Haddad. David was born in Worcester; he graduated from North High School, attended Worcester State College and graduated from the Peterson School of Vocational Training. David worked as a maintenance technician specializing in HVACR, Heating and cooling before retiring due to illness. He worked for several area companies including, EMC Corporation, Worcester Medical Ctr and Target Stores. At one time David worked for Bally's in Lincoln Plaza. David was a gentle, simple man who cherished his family and simple things in life. He loved to fish, especially along the Cape Cod Canal and to speak of his fishing tales, his quiet times in the backyard with a cigar and golfing. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, September 28th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be celebrated Saturday, September 29th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
