Milton A. Price, Sr. 92, of Worcester, passed away to the Lord, joining his wife Elnora and son, Lee "Modie" Price, Friday September 14, 2012, after a period of declining health. Milton was born in Worcester, one of seven children born to William B. Price Sr, and Martha E. (Mason) Price. He graduated from Worcester Public Schools, took a position working for Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he remained many years before retiring in 1988, and has lived here all his life. Milton's wife, Elnora (Kelley) Price passed away in 1965. He is survived by the children he loved so much; Milton A. Price, Jr., Steven Price, Dean Price, Linda Bailey and Phyllis Laura all of Worcester, and Christine Johnston in Alabama; his longtime companion Rose Johnston of Worcester; 32 grand, 56 great and 5 great, great, grandchildren, nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Along with his wife, and son, Milton was predeceased by two brothers, William W. and Elwood "Barney" Price, and four sisters, Ellen Holmes, Agnes Browning, Lucille Harrod and Phyllis Johnston. Milton was a lifetime active member of the Belmont AME Zion Church. A member and past Grand Master of the King David Lodge of Masons #7. Milton was active in his community: He volunteered for the Prospect House in Worcester, coached Baseball for Laurel/Claton Teams and sat on several Worcester City Committees. In 1979 Milton was awarded the humanitarian award by the Prospect House for his work there. He also loved to watch New England Sports teams. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Milton's Family from 10 am to 11:00 am Friday, September 28th 2012 in The Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, Illinois St. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
