Jarvis E. (Curry) Gresham, 57, of Worcester a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, passed away Monday, September 17th in the Umass-Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus after being stricken ill at home. Jarvis is survived by the family she loves so much; Her devoted husband of the past 27 years, Edward W. Gresham; an adoring daughter, Darnella L. Williams of Worcester; three grandchildren, Malai, Thomasina and Jerome; her mother, Elliott Virginia (Workman) Curry; two sisters, Jeanette Walker and Alice D. Watson; a brother, James A. Watson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends, including Kathleen Napier. Jarvis was born in Belmont, North Carolina, her father was the late, Calvin Curry, she graduated from North High School and Quinsigamond Community College. She has lived here most of her life. Jarvis worked as a homemaker for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Massachusetts. She previously worked for the Interim Healthcare of Worcester and the former WCIS bank. Jarvis was a very religious woman. She was an active dedicated member of Emanuel Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon and member of its missionary board. Jarvis enjoyments included her family, travel and gardening. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25th at 11:30 am in Emanuel Baptist Church, 717 Main St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A period of Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am pin the church prior to the service.
