Renato Francis Xavier Borci 93, of Oak Pond Ave, Millbury, passed away Tuesday, September 18, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved daughter Brenda Richard who cared for him during the last five years of declining health. He also leaves his daughters Donna Augustine and Renata Miller both of Millbury. Eight grandchildren, Kevin Richard, Kurt Richard, Keri Andrade, Keith Richard, Alana Daniels, Mark Augustine, Malory O'Brien and Jillian Miller; Nine great grandchildren, Brandon Richard, Kara Richard, Kristopher Gage Richard, Ryan Richard, Ricky-Reno Andrade, Kathrynne Richard, Kaden Richard, Olivia Augustine and Brett Augustine. Reno was born in Worcester the son of Pasquale and Elizabeth (Ciampa) Borci and grew up on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. He was predeceased by his loving wife Alice Borci on April 4th 2007. They were married for 56 wonderful years. Also predeceased by Brothers John, Boniface, Louis, Mario, Emilio and sister Angela Borci. Reno graduated from North High School in Worcester and joined the United States Navy as an aviation radio operator and served during World War ll stationed in the South Pacific. He ran Reno's Spa on Shrewsbury Street for many years. He also worked with his wife Alice and ran Club Cosimo in North Grafton for many years. Upon semi-retirement he worked as a wine consultant at H&B Liquors on Grafton Street in Worcester until the age of 85. Reno's passion in life was his wife and three girls and dedicated himself to his beloved family. He enjoyed traveling extensively with Alice to places such as Italy, Egypt, Bethlehem, Hawaii and took cruises to many exotic islands. He also enjoyed dancing, cooking fine foods with the best of wines and loved being a proud grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him. A funeral service for Reno will be held Friday at 1:00PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of calling hours will be held from 11:30 until the time of the service at 1:00PM.
