Donald A Kelley Sr

Donald A. Kelley Sr., 77, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 in UMass Hospital. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Patricia (Bennett) Kelley; three sons, Donald Kelley Jr. of Worcester, James Kelley and his Fiancé Donna Jones of Fitchburg, John Kelley and wife Deborah of Dudley; two daughters, Kathleen (Kelley) McCarthy and husband John of Boylston and Theresa Kelley of Worcester; a brother, Richard Kelley of Smithfield, Rhode Island; a sister, Joyce Brower of Worcester; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; twenty-two nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Kelley of North Brookfield. Donald was born in Manchester, NH on October 9, 1934, son of James and Doris (Lawson) Kelley. Donald was a proud Korean War veteran with the United States Air Force and a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post. He was a graduate of Boys Trade High School in Worcester Ma.where he acquired training as an auto body technician. He later honed his skills working at Ronnie's Auto Body for twenty-two years and Atamian Motors for eleven years. His hobbies included gardening and creating many craft items and furniture in his woodworking shop. Donald was a most wonderful and loving family man. A Memorial Mass for Donald will be held on Saturday, September 22, at 11 a.m. in Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
