Joann M. Girardi

Joann M. (Feraco) Girardi,72, of Millbury died peacefully Saturday September 8, 2012 in the Holy Trinity Nursing Center after a brief illness. Her husband of 49 years Biagio Girardi died June 12, 2012. Joann is survived by her loving children; her son Angelo " AJ" Girardi and his wife Kristin of New Jersey, Daughter Leslie Girardi and her fiancé Tony Cesaitis, her two adoring grandchildren Joshua and Abigail, and a brother Michael Feraco , many nephews and nieces. Joann was born in Worcester daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Aiello) Feraco and lived in Leominster for most of her youth before moving to Millbury 47 years ago. She was a graduate of Leominster High School. Joann worked in the payroll department at the Foster Grant Company for many years, and also assisted at her father's business, The Feraco Funeral Homes of Leominster and Worcester. Joann was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel - St Ann Church, and the Beato Angelo Ladies Society. She enjoyed being a homemaker but her most treasured times were those spent with her family and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Joann's funeral will be held Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 4PM to 7PM on Tuesday. Interment with Biagio will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
