Charles J. Davis, Jr., 60 of Worcester, formerly of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at the UMass Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Charles is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Sandra L. Davis, his son Charles "Chip" Davis, his daughter Stephanie S. Davis of Worcester; his brothers Paul Davis and John V. Kelly of Warwick, RI; his sisters, Beth Cabral of Killingly, CT, Kathleen Roland of Warwick, RI and Linda Matheu of Tallahassee, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was born in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Charles J. Davis, Sr. and Mildred S. Kelly. He graduated from Providence Classical High School and later attended Emmaus Bible School. Charles worked as a machinist for twenty nine years, but most important to him was his work as a minister of God's Word. He was an Elder of Button Woods Bible Chapel in Warwick. He taught God's word and worked in youth ministry in many churches including Bethany Gospel Chapel in Worcester, Crossroads Bible Chapel in North Dartmouth, Templo Biblico in Providence RI, Community Gospel Chapel in Roxbury, and Hope Fellowship Chapel in Union, Maine. Services for Charles will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany Gospel Church, 242 Clark St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 7th from 4-8 p.m. in Bethany Gospel Chapel.
