Marjorie (Curran) Tonelli, 90, a devoted mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 30th 2012 in her home with the family she loved so much gathered beside her. Marjorie joins in her passing her children, Charles "Chick" Tonelli, Jr., and Joan Tonelli, her son in Law, Richard Small, and her granddaughter, Shelby DiBenedetto. Marjorie is survived by her devoted children, Margaret Antinelli and her husband George of Rutland, Joy Small of Auburn, Mary Lou Tarallo and Paul Tonelli of Worcester and Richard Tonelli and his wife Diane of Shrewsbury and Grafton; two brothers, John Curran of Webster, and William Curran in Memphis, Tenn; Mary Houlihan of Framingham; 13 grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Patrick and Isabel (Fraser) Curran. She graduated from Commerce High School and Salter Secretarial School and has lived here all her life. During the years Marjorie was able to work she was Supervising Executive House keeper for the former Sheraton Lincoln Inn before retiring. Marjorie enjoyed the beaches of Cape Cod, her garden and tending to her yard. Her inspiration revolved around the six children she raised and all her grandchildren. Nothing gave her more enjoyment in life than being with and cooking for her family. She cherished the holidays and having her family with her. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 6th at 12 Noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A period of visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12 noon prior to the service.
