Grace (DeFeudis) Kaestner-Corio, 91, formerly of 194 Norfolk St and 11 Lake Ave passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 14th 2012. Grace was born in Worcester a daughter of Francesco and Julia (Avellino) DeFeudis. She attended Worcester Girls Trade, met and married her 1st husband, Robert E. Kaestner. Together they raised their family until Robert passed away. Grace continued to attend to her family she remarried Joseph Corio who also pre deceased her. She has lived in Worcester all her life. Grace is survived by her two sons, Robert E. Kaestner Jr. and his companion Diane Martin of Lynnwood Park, Mass, Frank M. Kaestner and his wife Donna of Mashpee; two grandsons, Keith and his wife Erin, and Matthew Kaestner; four great grandchildren, Abigail Grace, Elizabeth Ann, Cameron and Justin; A sister, Lucretia Soderlund: many nieces, nephews and extended family. Beside her two husbands Robert and Joseph, Grace was pre deceased by two brothers, Thomas and Domenic DeFeudis, and three sisters, Josephine Cragan, Ann Nichols, and Bertha DeFeudis; Grace during her employed years, worked as Laundry Manager for the City of Worcester at Worcester City Hospital for 40 years before retiring in 1982. Grace when she was able was very active in her church. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church, its Choir, and Dorcas Society. She enjoyed Dancing, Socializing with friends and her occasional trips to the casinos. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 21st at 11:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am prior to the service in the funeral home.
