Albert J. Law, 60, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. He leaves his wife of nearly thirty-six years, Mary F. (Doucet) Law; twin daughters, Tracy A. Law and her fiancé Wayne G. Clark and Kathryn M. Hobbs and her husband Ian N. Hobbs; two grandchildren, Zachary A. Hobbs and Alexander C. Hobbs all of Worcester; his mother, Lydia (Cassanelli) Law of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Joseph J. Law, Sr. of Shrewsbury and Keith A. Law and his wife Amy Law of Brookfield; nieces and nephews. Albert was born in Worcester, son of the late John J. Law, and was a life-long resident of Shrewsbury. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and later attended North Eastern University. He served his nation in the United States Army Reserves, in the 1970's. Albert was a machinist at FIBA Technologies in Millbury and had previously worked for Worcester Gear Works. Albert's passion for cooking went beyond his own kitchen to restaurants in the area, where he could share his talent and love of food with people. When not working as a machinist, he created great dishes at JP's Restaurant and the South Street Diner both in Westborough. He was a member of Saint Mary's Church in Shrewsbury, he enjoyed fishing, the Red Sox and the Bruins. His legacy of love for his family will be remembered and cherished by his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Calling hours for Albert will be held on Monday, August 6, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, August7, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
