Rose (Lanzillotti) Saksa, 88, of Worcester died peacefully Thursday July 26, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Rose was predeceased by her husband Edward T. Saksa. She is survived by three sons; Edward T. Saksa and his wife Julia, Leonardo Saksa and his wife Ann Marie, all of Worcester and Joseph Saksa of Las Vegas, three daughters Mary Jane Saksa, Rose Ann Venuti, and Linda Saksa all of Worcester, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers Anthony, Robert, and Domenic Lanzillotti, and two sisters Margaret DeSantis, and Joanne Kozak, and many nephews and nieces. Rose was predeceased by two sisters Carmela Delaney and Marie Lanzillotti. Rose was born in Worcester daughter of the late Leonardo and Madelena (Rinaldi) Lanzillotti and lived here all her life. Rose enjoyed being a Homemaker, and was an excellent seamstress. However her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Rose was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, and formerly Our Lady of Fatima. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel St Ann Church Golden Years Club. Rose's family would like to thank Dr. Deborah Ford at St. Vincent s Hospital, Holy Trinity Hospice, and Auburn VNA for all their kindness and compassion shown to Rose and her family during her illness. Rose's funeral will be held Monday July 30, 2012 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in The Church of St. Joan of Arc 570 Lincoln St. Calling hours for Rose will be held on Sunday from 3:00PM to 6:00PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
