Robert Frost, 89, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, July 20th 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital after a period of declining health. Robert was born October 8, 1922 in Boston; his mother was the late Margaret Wyman. In 1951, Robert met and married what would be his wife and best friend for the next 40 years Lena (Pecorelli) Frost before she passed in September of 1992. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their four children, Kenneth R. Frost and his wife Marilyn of Clifton VA., Patricia Steinhilber and her husband Paul of Auburn, Lois Frost-McKeon and her husband Thomas of New Hope MN, and Jane Erickson and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury; Robert is also survived by seven grandchildren he cherished and whom cherished him; Nicholas Frost, John Steinhilber, Cassandra and Jeremy Frost, Kristen Foley, Nicole and Stephanie Erickson.; his siblings, Edwin "Ed" Wyman, Erwin "Skip" Wyman, and Beverly Mussleman all in Florida; Many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. A brother, Henry Wyman pre deceased him. During Roberts employed years he worked many years for Worcester Memorial Hospital before retiring. He was legally blind and a member of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. Roberts's main enjoyment in life was his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were his life's enjoyment. He cherished seeing them, sharing holidays and being with them. His face would light up with a broad smile anytime one of his grandchildren would enter the room. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Tuesday, July 24th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, July 25th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial next to his wife will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Commission for the blind, 390 Main Street, suite 620, Worcester Massachusetts. The frost family would like to thank the Summit Elder Services and St Vincent Hospital Staffs for the care, compassion and understanding they gave to our father during a difficult time.
