Louis J. Ginisi, Jr., 51 of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Louis is survived by his loving mother, Louise (Groccia) Ginisi; two brothers, David "Gino" Ginisi and his wife Brenda, with whom he lived and Robert J. Ginisi and his wife Patricia of Shrewsbury; ten adoring nieces and nephews, Rocky Ginisi, Joseph Ginisi, Anthony Ginisi Ashley McMillan Anna Ginisi, Maria Ginisi and Raychel McMillan all of Shrewsbury, David Ginisi, Jr., Nicholas Ginisi and Christian Ginisi all of Worcester; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Louis J. Ginisi. He graduated from Worcester South High School and worked at the Occupational Training Center at Seven Hills Foundation. Lou was loved by his family and all those that came into his life. He was always happy to be playing games with his nieces and nephews and he knew that family was the source of a great bond of love. He loved football and was a huge fan of the New York Jets and, he had a strong passion for the Red Sox, the Boston Celtics and for wrestling. He played basketball and ran track and field with the Special Olympics and was part of the team that went to compete in Washington D.C. Calling hours and a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 5, with Calling Hours from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a funeral procession to Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Massachusetts Special Olympics, 898 Prospect Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
