George P. Bellino, 92 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Worcester with his fsmily by his side. George's wife of fifty-five years, Theresa F. (Oliveri) Bellino passed away on March 22, 2000. He is survived by three beloved grandchildren, Sabrina Sinacole and her husband Charles, Dante Simone and Richard Simone, Jr. all of Worcester; five great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Rita "Honey" (Oliveri) Peloquin; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son, Paul G. "Bella" Bellino whom was killed in action during the Vietnam War, invasion of Hamburger Hill; a daughter, Linda Simone; five brothers, Joseph, John, Michael, Fiore and Anthony Bellino; two sisters,Phyllis Enos and Therese LeHane. George was born in Worcester, a son of the late John and Lena (Fiore) Bellino and has lived here all his life. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 serving his country proudly during WWII. George worked for the New England Power Service for twenty-four years before he retired in 1984. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Worcester. George attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at various establishments along Shrewsbury Street. A funeral service for George will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, July 6th from 10:00-12:00 noon in the funeral home prior to his service.
