Marie (Ladue) Boilard, 85, of Worcester died peacefully Saturday June 30, 2012 in the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with heart disease. Her husband of 59 years, Conrad Boilard passed away in December 2005. Marie was born November 1, 1926 in Springfield Ma. daughter of the late Arthur J. and Lydia D. (Morin) Ladue and lived most of her life in Indian Orchard, Ma. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield Ma. And worked in the Accounts Payable Department at the family business, A. Boilard Sons of Indian Orchard. Marie is survived by three children, her son , Christopher Boilard and his wife Joanne of Andover, her daughters Michelle Currie and her husband Robert of Worcester with whom she lived, and Lynne McMillian and her husband John of Belchertown, Marie was predeceased by a son Mark Boilard, and a brother Francis Ladue. She is also survived by a brother Norman Ladue and his wife RoseMaie of Florida, and two sisters Phyllis Woods and her husband George of California, and Claire Twarog of Massachusetts. She leaves a legacy of eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed. After her retirement she and her husband "Chick" spent their winters in Florida and summers on Cape Cod and Worcester. Marie lived her last years in Worcester with her daughter Michelle and her son in law Robert and her beloved dog Reva. Marie was an avid knitter, seamstress, and crafter. She was most proud of her wedding cake decorating. She loved to play bingo and any day at the casino was a good day! She was an avid reader and was a member of the Rowdy Readers Book Club. Marie was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, and it's Golden Years Club where she leaves many friends. She will be dearly missed. Marie's funeral will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 4PM to 7PM on Thursday. Burial will be in St.Aloysius Cemetery ,Indian Orchard Ma. at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church restoration fund 24 Mulberry St. Worcester, MA. 01604, or to a charity of choice.
