Carmela "Emily" M. (Licciardone) Wisell, 89, of Worcester, formerly of Monteforte Street in Worcester, passed away on Friday morning, June 15, 2012 in The Christopher House of Worcester. Her loving husband, Donald Wisell, predeceased her in 2005; she was also predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Pfister in September 2011. She is survived by a son, Robert Wisell of Spencer; a son in law, Joseph Pfister of Holden; three grandchildren, Jonathan Wisell of Spencer, Paul Wisell of Sturbridge and Michael Pfister of Somerville; many nieces and nephews. Carmela was also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, Paul, Louis and Albert Licciardone, Ann LaRose, Josephine Rantala and Esther Gaimari. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Giovanni and Francise (Puoce) Licciardone, and has lived here all her life. Emily was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed bowling. She was especially happy to be with the family she loved so much, particularly during regular Sunday gatherings. The Wisell family would like to thank all those at Christopher House, in particular Roberta and Candice. The love and care that was shared with Carmela and her family made Christopher House a loving home environment for them. Calling hours for Carmela will be held on Monday, June 18, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 19, from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
