Anna Catino

Anna (Gioia) Catino, 98 of Millbury, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June12, 2012 in Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Anna's husband of sixty years, Alfonso Catino passed away in 1985. She is survived by two sons, Maurice Catino of Sutton and Joseph Catino and his wife Rosalie of Rutland; a daughter, Jeanne Romano of Holden; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a sister, Mary Gioia and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Catino. Anna was born in New York City, New York, a daughter of the late Joseph and Cosima Gioia. She later moved to Shrewsbury where she resided for many years before moving to Millbury. She worked as a stitcher for Hawthorne's Sportswear for many years before retiring in 1979. Anna loved baking, sewing and knitting. Services for Anna will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
