Rita E. (Miller) DiLiddo, 86, of The Lutheran Health Care, Worcester, MA , formerly of Davis, CA and Fort Pierce FL a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother, passed away Tuesday, May 15th 2012 with family gathered by her side. Rita was born in Ware, MA the daughter of Frederick and Alva Miller. She graduated from Commerce High School . In 1950 Rita married her husband Carlo J. "Charlie" DiLiddo; together they raised four children and shared their life together until October of 1984 when Charlie passed away. Rita's employment years lead her to co-own with her husband the Greendale Restaurant & Spa, and later manage the Coffee Shop at Worcester Hahnemann Hospital before retiring. After retirement Rita Wintered in Fort Pierce, Florida with her companion of many years Frank Lapriore. After Frank's passing in 1998 Rita was a full time resident of Fort Pierce until 2005 when she moved to Davis, CA in the care of her daughter Carla, and then to the Lutheran health Care in 2008. Rita is survived by three devoted children, Carla Harris and her husband Craig, of Davis California, Susanne Campagna and her Husband Paul, of Somers CT. , Frederick DiLiddo and his wife Carma of Holden; a sister in-law Stella Mastro of Worcester, six grandchildren; Three great grandchildren; Nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A son, Joseph W. DiLiddo, and two brothers, William and Donald Miller pre deceased her. Rita was a member of St George Church. She was a devoted mother, whose greatest joy and inspiration was the love of her family. She cherished those times she spent with them and will be greatly missed. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Friday May 18th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Saturday, May 19th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in St George Church, 40 Brattle St. Burial will follow in St John's Cemetery. The family would thank the staff and friends at Lutheran Health Care for the care and kindness they provided Rita during a difficult time.
