Elsie E. (Grace ) Sullivan,71 a long time resident of Auburn, died peacefully Friday May 11, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a period of failing health. She leaves her husband of 28 years, John J. Sullivan; two sons John Dalbec and Jeffery Dalbec both from Cumberland, ME; a stepson, John Sullivan; two stepdaughters, Stacey McCurley and Jodi Doherty; four grandchildren, Kathleen and Kylie Dalbec, Kaelen McCurley and Cameron Sullivan; a brother, Lester Grace and his wife Ruth and a sister Mary DiCarlo and her husband Joseph. Elsie was daughter of the late Leister & Mary (Conlin) Grace; she was born in Worcester on August 12, 1941. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Elsie worked in the women's retail fashion industry in Worcester most recently for Casual Corner of Auburn before retiring. Elsie enjoyed traveling and adored her feline companion, Miss Molly. Her caring and generosity will be missed by all those of whose lives she touched in so many different ways. Elsie's Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 15th from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Calling hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home prior to her Funeral Mass.
