Jacqueline "Jackie" A. (Goyette) Corrao, 81, of Worcester, formerly of Clearview Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, following a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Her husband of fifty-seven years, Francis "Skip" J. Corrao, predeceased her in September 2010. Jackie is survived by her loving family including a son, James M. Corrao and his wife, Jeanne of Holden; two daughters, Donna M. Corrao and Carol A. Delaney and her husband Patrick all of Worcester; a sister, Maryellen Goyette of Salinas, CA; a sister in law, Evelyn Lydon of Marstons Mills; five grandchildren, James and his fiancé Amanda Misenhimer, Theresa, Cara, Elizabeth and Matthew; two great granddaughters, Annabelle and Caroline; her beloved nieces and nephews and her dog Rosie. Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Lois Murphy. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George and Helen (Navin) Goyette. She graduated from Saint Stephen's High School and from the Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing. Jackie was a Registered Nurse working with the Northeast Regional Red Cross Blood Services for over thirty years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church and was a 3rd Order of the Benedictine Oblates. She was a dedicated medical professional who volunteered to help expectant mothers and families at Problem Pregnancy. Jackie was a woman of tremendous faith, and was loved by so many. She leaves us a legacy of unconditional love. Her family wishes to extend deep appreciation to those who cared for her during her illness; the staff at Notre Dame Assisted Living; the Nurses, CNA's and Physicians on 6 west at UMass Memorial-University Campus; and especially the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice. All the caring and kindness will be long remembered. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 5, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in SAINT JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 LINCOLN STREET, WORCESTER.
