Paul P. Kristo, 90, of Worcester passed away peacefully Monday, April 30, 2012, with family gathered at his side. Paul was born Worcester, son of Adam and Victoria (Boble) Kristopovich. He graduated from South High School, furthered his education at Boys Trade School for two years learning a trade. He joined U.S. Navy, becoming a Navy Pilot to serve his country during World War II. Upon return he remained in the reserves flying aircraft out of South Weymouth Naval Air Station. Paul was appointed a Police Officer for the City of Worcester in 1949 and for the next 34 years, Paul served with distinction before retiring. Paul leaves behind his devoted wife And partner of 61 years, Eleanor M. (Johnson) Kristo; four children he cherished, James P. Kristo and his wife Evelyn in California, Stephen W. Kristo and his wife Louise, Jeanne M. Linden and her husband Dr. Christopher Linden, and Barbara A. DeLuca all of Shrewsbury; a brother, Anthony Krist in Seattle; a sister, Helen Faucher of Paxton; six grandchildren; a great granddaughter; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A son, David R. Kristo passed away in 2004, three brothers, Joseph, Benjamin, and John Kristo, and two sisters, Victoria Daniel and Dorothy Kamosky also pre deceased him. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the Lithuanian Naturalization Association, the Frohsinn Club, Saturday Night Dance Gang, Maironis Park and he Worcester Police Relief Association. Paul was a talented man, jack-of-all trades, who cherished his family and friends, loved his job, community and his country. These were his special treasures and life's inspiration. Nothing made Paul more proud and happy than being surrounded by his family. He will be sadly missed. Paul's funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 3rd at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. There are no calling hours, and burial in St John's Cemetery will be private.
