Generosa (Muniz) Medina, 94, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Tuesday, April 24th 2012 with the family she loved so much gathered by her side. Generosa was born in Manati, Puerto Rica a daughter of Bautista Muniz and Juanna Maldonaldo. She grew up and lived in Puerto Rico before moving to Worcester. Generosa is survived by her devoted children, Rosa Class with whom she lived, Isabel Class-Rosario, Angel Medina and his wife Carmen all of Worcester, Juan Class and his wife Paula of Orlando Florida; two sisters, Milagro Rosado in the Bronx, NY and Irena Miller in Puerto Rico; twenty four grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Her 1st husband Juan Class passed away in 1954, 2nd husband Santiago Muniz in 1982 and children, Francisco, Roman, Antonio and Carmen Class and Angel Medina all pre deceased her. Generosa enjoyed working in her garden, singing, playing cards, dominoes and traveling to Puerto Rico to visit family. However, the most important inspiration in her life was her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Her happiest moments were with them around her. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Sunday, April 29th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral service will be held Monday, April 30th at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial next to her son will follow in Hope Cemetery.
