Dorothy C O'Leary

Dorothy C. (Shepard) O'Leary, 87, of Worcester died unexpectedly Wednesday April 18, 2012 in the UMASS Medical Center. Her husband John O'Leary ll predeceased her. Dorothy is survived by her children; a son John O'Leary 3rd of Douglas. A daughter Ann M. Hartz of Worcester, two grandsons John O'Leary 4th and Michael O'Leary, also several cousins, nephews and nieces. Dorothy was born in Worcester daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Burns) Shepard and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Dorothy worked for the former Filene's Department Store as a sales clerk for many years before she retired. She enjoyed traveling along with her husband and friends,but most of all she loved being with her family, and enjoyed her home. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Dorothy's funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service.
