Jose Carlos Reyes

Jose (Menor) Carlos Reyes, 42 of Worcester formerly of Puerto Rico, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Mass General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jose is survived by his wife of eleven years, Mari Olga Ortiz; sons, Jose (Bebo), Jr. and , Omar Reyes, Jonzel and Alexander Diaz and Gabriel Reyes of PR; two daughters, Josmari C. and Yaraceli Reyes, his parents, Jose A. and Francisca (Diaz) Reyes of FL; sisters, Sol Araceli Reyes of PR and Omayra Rodriguez and her husband Milton of FL; his mother-in-law, Olga Burgos and her husband Luis Rodriguez ; his father-in-law, Pedro Ortiz, Sr. of PR; brothers-in-law, Pedro Ortiz and his wife Evelyn, and Luis Ortiz and his partner Lisa Mercado ; a cousin Juan (Papo) Ortiz; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jose was born in Chicago, Illinois. He resided in Puerto Rico till 1986 and later moved to Worcester where he has lived ever since. Jose worked as a foreman for Ken's Foods for eleven years. Jose was an avid sports fan. A period of calling hours for Jose will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico.
