Carole D. (Ramsdell) Smith, 64, of Worcester died peacefully Wednesday March 21, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband and high school sweetheart, Kenneth F. Smith died April 11, 2008. Carole is survived by a son Kevin T. Smith and his wife Nancy of Worcester, a daughter Carolyn A Jennette and her husband David with whom she lived. Also saddened by her loss are her three grandchildren; Andrew Wykes, Anthony Smith, and Emily Smith, her brother Leonard T. Ramsdell and his wife Nancy of Millbury and their daughter Krystyanna her special niece, and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Carole was born in Worcester daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth (Duggan) Ramsdell and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Carole worked in the Cash Management Division at Allmerica for over 20 years before she retired. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, and was a former member of St.Casimir Parish. Carole enjoyed her time going to the Beach along the Maine coast, however her most precious times where those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren! She was a gentle women who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank mom's special nurse Megan Mahoney for her kindness and compassion. A funeral Mass of Christian burial for Carole will be held Saturday March 24, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. in the Church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. at 9:00A.M.Her calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday from 4PM to 7PM. Interment with her husband will be in St. Johns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Franciscan Monastery. 28 Beach Ave. Kennebunkport, ME.
