Flo-Mae (Manning) Landgren, 75, of Oxford, passed away peacefully, Thursday March 15, 2012, in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston after a brief illness. Flora-Mae's husband Donald Landgren Sr. passed away in 2004. She leaves, a son Donald Landgren, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Oxford, two daughters Kimberly Landgren of Worcester, Tracy Ottaviano and her husband Paul of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren Kyra and Bridget Landgren, Jake, RyAnne and Regena Ottaviano; a sister Virginia Holden of Freeport Maine; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A sister, Beverly Plaisted predeceased her on February 25th. Born in Rockland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mildred (Carver) Manning. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1955. After marriage Flo moved to Massachusetts where she raised her family in Holden. After retirement in 1997 Flo moved to South Carolina, returning back to Massachusetts in 2010. Flo worked as a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company; She also worked at Lawrence Candle Factory in Northboro and Hebert Candies in Shrewsbury. Flo-Mae enjoyed reading, word puzzles, playing card games with family and friends and traveling with her husband. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24 at 2:00 pm in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
